Fire department uses funds to buy new gearWednesday, March 10, 2010 @ 8:15AMWith the help of a $28,899 grant awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Creve Coeur Fire Department will soon be able to outfit its team in brand-new turnout gear. Fire Chief Brad Gill said the department will use the grant to buy 13 new outfits, complete with helmets, bunker hats, gloves and other gear. The new suits and gear are desperately needed, Gill said.
