I am currently working on a project of mine and it deals with large pieces of plexiglass. Except I don't know what drill bits or router bits to use. Please help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

- drill bits, use what is called a middle point, bit, tip is shaped like a W, any router bit will work, but the speed is the problem, need to slow the speed down, on router
- I do know that you should use blue painters tape on the plexiglass before you try to drill it or cut it with a saw. I used regular drill bits, and the tape. My holes came out fine. Go slow too.
- A regular wood bit should work fine. The router may be more of a problem. The speed of the bit will produce heat and may start melting the plexi.
- black and decker used to (still might) make a pilot point drill bit call "Bullet" bits. They cut extemely clean, even in Plexiglass. I found this site... http://www.wttool.com/category-exec/category_id/18648/nm/Jobber_s_Length_Bullet_Drills you should be able to call around and ask for them by name; you wont be disappointed.
- Router bits is best and drill at a mediaum speed with not so much pressure or you will crack the plexi glass. Been there done it.
